GT Pro Gamer is a racing video game that lets you use the Wii Remote’s gyroscope to control your car. It’s an innovative twist on a genre that has been around for decades. The game features more than 80 licensed cars and next-generation physics. It also includes several gameplay modes, including championship, quick race, time attack, versus (4 players), and drift combo.
You can play the game with a regular controller or use the included steering wheel case to turn the Wii Remote like an actual car wheel. The steering wheel is attached to the Wii Remote’s gyroscope, so it tracks movements and reacts accordingly. It’s a very simple system that works very well. You can adjust the steering feel by moving a small slider on the screen.
The controls are a little loose, but it helps to encourage the drift cornering typical of arcade racing games. It can be a bit tricky to master, but it’s easier to pick up than the precise, technical style of racing you’d find in a simulation. You can even hit the brake and gas at the same time to initiate a powerslide, which allows you to slide through a corner without losing speed.
You don’t earn money in the game, but you can unlock new cars and tuning upgrades as you progress through championship mode. GTPro Gamer The upgrades are a bit of a joke, though - coloured headlamps, different horn tones, and even reclining seats all make the cut. Nevertheless, it’s still fun to experiment with the cars and see what you can get out of them.
